NatéoSanté equips a hospital in India with a strategic partnership for the health of women and newborns

NatéoSanté, a Nantes-based company renowned for its air treatment solutions, is now equipping the Bai Gangabai public women’s hospital in Gondia, India.

Since 2009, NatéoSanté, a French Healthcare Association’s member and administrator from the very beginning, has been making a name for itself in the prevention of respiratory diseases and hospital-acquired infections.

An innovative response to health challenges linked to air quality

NatéoSanté‘s commitment in India is part of a global approach to integrating environmental hygiene into hospital protocols, while respecting the principles of eco-design and local production. The company already generates 42% of its sales from exports, covering more than 50 countries, and equips hundreds of establishments in France and abroad.

In India, in particular, air pollution is reaching critical levels, and pregnant women and newborns are particularly susceptible, contracting respiratory and cardiovascular diseases and even cancers. In 2019, 17.8% of deaths were caused by the country’s alarming pollution levels, revealed a study by Global Observatory on Pollution and Health of the Boston College, from the Indian Council of Medical Research and Public Health Foundation of India. In New Delhi, going outside without a mask is equivalent to smoking 50 cigarettes.

Strategic partnership to improve air quality at Ban Gangabai Women’s Hospital

Dr. Nitika Poyam, Chief Medical Officer at Bai Gangabai Hospital, comments:

For this project, NatéoSanté has teamed up with LisaMed, an Indian medical equipment expert who is introducing disinfection and air monitoring technologies in India, the Middle East and South Asia. LisaMed, with a solid track record in the implementation of high-tech projects in healthcare and environmental monitoring, will be responsible for the distribution, installation and training of personnel in the use of NatéoSanté’s devices at the Bai Gangabai Hospital. These technologies are designed to ensure optimum air quality in neonatal units, where air purity is essential given the vulnerability of patients.

This initiative in India once again underlines NatéoSanté’s ability to meet the specific needs of international markets. It also confirms NatéoSanté’s commitment to protecting health through proven and certified French technologies.

Renowned for its commitment to environmental hygiene, CSR and sustainable purchasing processes, the company, expert in indoor air purification, marks a new step forward, continuing to work towards improving air quality and thus people’s health, particularly in regions facing serious environmental challenges.
