GITEX 2024 further strengthens Qista’s international presence

QISTA, experts in eco-friendly mosquito control solutions, has announced its participation in GITEX Expand North Star 2024, held in Dubai in October.

This event enabled the Provencal SME to consolidate its presence in the region, already established thanks to its strategic partnership with the environmental division of Al Khayyat Investments (AKI), also present at the congress alongside Qista to reinforce and promote this strategic collaboration.

This latest step in the cooperation with AKI demonstrates Qista’s ability to adapt to the needs of areas affected by the spread of serious infectious diseases, a public health issue exacerbated by global warming and the resilience of mosquitoes in warm-climate regions. Worse still, some species present in large numbers in the United Arab Emirates are particularly dangerous for the health of populations, vectors of diseases such as malaria or West Nile virus.

Faced with these challenges, Qista has developed an innovative, environmentally-friendly solution that reduces the use of traditional chemical methods. Its patented mosquito control technology is based on environmentally-friendly bollards, which preserve biodiversity and provide real-time geolocation monitoring of species proliferation. The 130 bollards already installed in the Emirates are already enabling better mapping and analysis of mosquito populations for research and prevention purposes.

GITEX 2024 in Dubai: a key step in Qista’s international expansion

Qista’s participation at GITEX 2024 confirms the growing international influence of its unique expertise in sustainable mosquito control technologies. It also heralds promising future developments in the United Arab Emirates and beyond.

Selected along with nine other French companies by the ZEBOX startup gas pedal, Qista was able to present its innovations to 1,200 potential investors and alongside 250 other European startups. This “international visibility” enabled them to meet “strategic partners essential to accelerating our international growth”, says CEO Pierre Bellagambi.

Indeed, export represents a major strategic lever for the company, which aims to contribute to a renewed, innovative and sustainable approach to the fight against mosquito-borne diseases worldwide. The fast-growing international SME already has 13,000 terminals in 36 different countries, with over 2,000 installed this year.

Qista’s highlights at GITEX 2024 include a meeting with the French Consul General in Dubai and the French Embassy in the United Arab Emirates, as well as a closer relationship with the head of the Emirati government’s pest control department.
