“Healthtech Investor Day” in Paris on June 24 and 25 : candidatures until June 11

Launched at the initiative of France Biotech, the 1st edition of the HealthTech Investor Day (HTID) will bring together in Paris at the end of June the European leaders of HealthTech, international investors in health innovation and major pharmaceutical groups.

Europe has an incredible vitality in health innovation thanks to the excellence of its research (public and private) and an unprecedented wave of SMEs and start-ups inventing the medicine of tomorrow. On the whole continent, there are now about 30,000 biotechnology companies and 25,000 medtech companies (connected health, artificial intelligence,…), which already represent 170,000 direct jobs. HTID aims to be the meeting platform between these European HeathTech champions and international investors.

For its 1st edition, the HTID will take place over 2 days (24 and 25 June 2019) and will take place at Hôtel Peninsula (Paris, 16th district). The core of this forum is a system of individualized meetings between health entrepreneurs, investors and large industrial groups. These interviews will be conducted in a “real situation” in Paris, and some of them will be conducted by videoconference with New York and Shanghai.

In addition with these “one-to-one meetings”, conferences (about ten) will address different themes such as the attractiveness of Europe, new solutions for financing healthTech, international best practices, or the challenges of the medicine of the future.

HTID is reserved for SMEs and mature start-ups that are already very advanced in their development.

The selection criteria are as follows:

– be an innovative company in the field of healthTech (biotech, medtech, artificial intelligence and e-health);

– for listed biotech, have a market capitalization of at least €20 million, and for unlisted biotechs, have drug candidates currently in at least one Phase II clinical trial;

– for medtechs, medical devices must have already obtained CE marking or FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approval in the United States.
