Antimicrobial resistance is a major public health issue; in France, the Strategic Committee for the Health Industries and Technologies Sector (CSF-ITS) has made it one of its priorities and a mobilisation of professionals has been launched since the end of April, with strong support from bioMérieux.
Within this mobilization, two groups have the objective to “Make the French excellence sector visible” (notably through mapping) and “Create favourable economic conditions for the development and marketing of products against antibiotic resistance”.
A third working group is being set up under the dual leadership of French Healthcare and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, with the aim of promoting effective French participation and preparing to host a major international event on this global issue.
French Healthcare members concerned by the topics of antibiotic resistance and hospital hygiene are invited to participate.
