Market information workshop “Opportunities and new health challenges in Algeria and Tunisia” – March 3, 2020 in Paris
Algeria : the health budget will be around EUR 5 billion in 2020 (+ 2%), with targets notably on the construction of +25 hospitals (60 to 240 beds) as well as the renovation of medical equipment and facilities operational public.
The private sector is investing with the upcoming launch of 20 private clinics.

Tunisia: at the level of public health structures, an effort to build new establishments has been noted (construction of 4 Multidisciplinary hospitals and 8 regional hospitals) as well as a desire to upgrade emergency services. For the private sector, more than 60 clinic construction projects are underway.

An E-health strategy is underway as part of the national “Tunisia Digital 2020” program to combat regional disparities. The offices of Algeria and Tunisia will travel accompanied by a professional from the sector who will present the market opportunities to French companies. AFRICA HEALTH 2020 – French Healthcare Days – Kenya / South Africa – May 11 to 15, 2020
South Africa, the only African country member of the BRICS and the G20, is the largest economy in southern Africa. It is an emerging country with a modern and diverse economy, where the health market is booming. It is dominated by imports, whether for pharmaceuticals, medical equipment or biotechnology.

In Kenya, the health market shows annual growth of 4.5%. In recent years, the country has experienced a strengthening of its healthcare capacities with, according to the latest figures from the Kenyan Ministry of Health, 10,820 hospitals (dispensaries in rural areas included) and 12,937 licensed doctors.
