One year after the Beirut explosion, health issues in Lebanon are still at the mercy of the economic and political crisis

“A year after the catastrophic explosion on 4 August 2020, hospitals in Beirut were rebuilt. But the health situation remains extremely weakened by an economic, social and political crisis that existed long before the tragedy. (…) It is also to improve the country’s health situation that the Institut Curie (Paris), centre of excellence in the fight against cancer, has implemented a support plan for health professionals in Lebanon, led by Dr Pierre Anhoury.
