IHU ICAN

Foundation for Innovation in Cardiometabolism and Nutrition

Description

The Foundation for Innovation in Cardiometabolism and Nutrition (IHU ICAN) is a translational research center of excellence in cardiometabolic diseases: diabetes, obesity, liver diseases (NASH), heart and vessel diseases. Located at the heart of the Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, ICAN relies on the expertise of its founders: AP-HP, INSERM and Sorbonne University to carry out its mission. ICAN brings together teams of basic and clinical researchers and has structured cutting-edge platforms for translational research, particularly for imaging cardiometabolic tissues, as well as for the integration of clinical and multi-omics data. Our mission is to accelerate the translation of preclinical and clinical research results directly into patient care.
