HORIBA secures successful internationalisation with strategic expansion in Kazakhstan

By prospecting at key events and teaming up with a local distributor, MALIKA Farm, HORIBA has managed to significantly increase its presence in Kazakhstan’s market.

HORIBA, a member of French Healthcare Association since January 2024, based in Montpellier, specialises in the design, manufacture and distribution of a range of in-vitro diagnostic analysers (automated hematology, hemostasis and clinical chemistry systems).

Operating in over 150 countries, the group is one of the world leaders in the hematology market and currently supplies more than 30,000 laboratories worldwide.

Thanks to a partnership with a local distributor, MALIKA Farm, HORIBA has managed to strengthen its positioning in Kazakhstan, a thriving market for in-vitro diagnostic solutions. This country, rich in natural resources, has seen annual growth of more than 15% over the past four years, a figure that testifies to the region’s strong appeal.

Kazakhstan, a key market for HORIBA’s expansion in Central Asia

As part of this collaboration, HORIBA welcomed a delegation of Kazakhstani hospital directors to its production and assembly centre in Montpellier on 10 June. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen ties with these representatives and present the company’s manufacturing expertise and progress in Innovation and Development.

On 25 April, HORIBA and MALIKA Farm had already hosted a conference in Almaty dedicated to their customers and prospects, gathering 120 guests. The event showcased HORIBA‘s innovative solutions, including the Yumizen H2500, a leading-edge hematology analyser.  The latter has also recently received 510k clearance from the american FDA and is now available for sale in the United States, as announced by the company.

Through its strategic expansion in Kazakhstan and these new American opportunities, HORIBA is now ideally positioned to pursue its international growth and promote its expertise in in vitro diagnostic analysers.
